Reel Kids Music runs an after-school music club at Hyndland Primary School in Glasgow.

P4-P7 children attend choir for 30 minutes and are given a 30 minute instrumental lesson in a group setting.
The music clubs also runs Mini Musicianship classes to P2/P3 children which are based on a Kodály approach to music education. The children are taught musical concepts such as pitch, pulse, and rhythm through singing games and rhymes. After acquiring a foundation set of skills, some children move on to learning an instrument when they are in P3 or P4. This is dependent on space and availability.
Once children start learning an instrument, (and they practice and improve!), they continue to attend the music club until they leave Primary school. This means that spaces for certain instruments are not always available for beginners in September.

Spaces to learn instruments are allocated in June. If your child joins the school in August or later, or your child is interested in attending, please complete the registration form and their name will be added to the waiting list.
Cost
As a Community Interest Company fees are kept to a minimum. The cost of one hour of music tuition is £6.00 a week. The clubs are self financing and fees are paid in August and January.
Reel Kids is grateful to the management team at Hyndland Primary without whose full support the club would not be possible.
